The last seat in the Congress Hall was filled just before 6 pm. More than 1,300 Stockholm men between the ages of 40-65 responded to Eli Lilly’s invitation to a free two-hour presentation on male health problems including prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction and common questions about diet, overweight and cholesterol.

But late arrivals were not turned away. When all of the seats in Folkets Hus were full, latecomers were referred to the other side of the street – to the Pillar Hall in Norra Latin. More than 100 people could watch the presentations via video. Eli Lilly had issued an open invitation with no obligation to reply, so the potential number of guests was unknown. The company avoided disappointment by booking extra rooms at short notice.
“The feedback has been 100% positive,” says marketing manager Anders Kristensson from Eli Lilly.
“Many lifestyle diseases appear at around 50 and a lot of men want to know more. We want to help raise their awareness so they think twice before eating a hamburger or taking the lift.”
