Stockholm City Conference Centre - the first Safehotels-certified day conference venue
City Conference Centre in Stockholm, with Norra Latin and Folkets Hus, is the first day conference venue in Sweden to be awarded security certification by Safehotels.
“Security has always been high on our agenda. We regard security certification through Safehotels as a natural step, as well as a tool for further developing our security work,” says Monika Malmén, CEO of City Conference Centre.
Security work at CCC aims to maintain a high level of security, prevent and avoid accidents, and minimise injuries to people and damage to the environment and property.
Safehotels, which is based on an international consultancy network focusing on expertise in the field of security for the hotel and meeting industry, currently has about 400 venues with training and certification agreements.
“The fact that Stockholm City Conference Centre is among the conference venues that have met the strict requirements for certification is particularly pleasing,” comments Hans Kanold, CEO of Safehotels.
“We are seeing increased awareness of, and greater demand for, security certification and training throughout the industry,” says Hans. “Being able to point to certification within environmental issues and security is not just a competitive advantage, it is also a hygiene requirement,” he continues.
“We are a major venue in central Stockholm. Each year, 100,000-150,000 guests pass through our doors. The maximum capacity is 4,000 guests at any one time. Many events with stringent security requirements are organised here, including annual general meetings, international congresses, political meetings and multinational corporate conferences. We are seeing that more and more customers expect that the venue they choose for their event to undertake serious and active security work. Thanks to Safehotels certification, we can more clearly communicate our approach to security,” says Monika.
